A while back, a police officer got shot while on duty. There was nothing that is partner could do put hold him while dying in his arms. This just made worse for the partner. A scout was walking along a funeral home the day of the police officers funeral. When the funeral procession was leave the scout saluted as the hurse went by, the partner saw this, and on that sad day it brightened up that police officer.
To this day he still remembers that boy scout. Scouting is not just about camping, and fun its about respect, learning, and responsibility. Scouting teaches these things through the fun, and camping. To this day the scout salute holds a special meaning
