Sung to the tune of “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” Uh weema way uh weema way Uh weema way uh weema way Uh weema way uh weema way Uh weema way uh weema way In the campground, the peaceful campground The Cub Scouts sleep tonight In the campground, the peaceful campground The Cub Scouts sleep tonight Uh weema way uh weema way Uh weema way uh weema way Uh weema way uh weema way Uh weema way uh weema way In the campground, the peaceful campground The Webelos whine tonight In the campground, the peaceful campground The Webelos whine tonight Uh weema way uh weema way Uh weema way uh weema way Uh weema way uh weema way Uh weema way uh weema way In the campground, the peaceful campground The Leaders snore tonight In the campground, the peaceful campground The Leaders snore tonight
Actions
Clap and sing the “Uh weema way” parts. Split the crowd in two so one group does the “Uh weema way uh weema way” part and the other does the high-pitched “eeeeeeeeheeeee-hee-hum-hum-huhway” part from the song. Change up the words and improvise as needed!
Comments
Great song to open up a campfire.
