Wings Upon My Chest (Eagle Scout’s)

Lyrics

As I was growing up,
living day by day,
Learned a lot about myself,
along the way.

Now the Eagle has landed,
here upon my chest,
And I just want to say thanks to all,
Who helped me do my best.

Thank you Mom and Dad,
For all the years,
For all the good times that we had,
And through all the tears.

And to all my friends,
Who have gathered here today,
I want to take what you given to me,
And give it back in a special way.

Those of you who are,
Younger than me,
Let me take you by the hand,
And help you be what you want to be.

The Eagle has landed,
Here upon my chest,
And I just want to say thanks to all,
Who helped me do my best.

Thank you Mom and Dad,
Thank you to my friends,
Thank you Lord for being with me,
In my heart through thick and thin.

Wear this badge with pride,
Everywhere I go,
It’s something to be proud of,
And I want everybody to know.

If my eyes are full of tears,
It’s not because I’m sad,
It’s my way of showing my love,
For my friends and my Mom and Dad.

The Eagle has landed,
Here upon my chest,
And I just want to thank everyone,
Who helped me do my best.
